Theodore

 "Theodore"

Lie down for me, sweetheart, I won't hurt you;
undress for me, but please don't bleed.
A sun-kissed azure, a warm, deep blue,
mantles the cold tiles whilst I plead.

Don't let the chains hold him too tight.
I don't want to be together;
The cold metal feels like your spite,
Are you bitter under that leather?

I really love this poem. I had to get rid of the last two verses before posting it, but I still believe this part of it really encapsulates the idea I was intending when I wrote it. The painting is not called Theodore, but it is based on the poem.
