Vampire Media
...I need an outlet to talk about how much I love vampires.
From a midcentury myth to a bunch of emo millenials making out, vampire content ranges from such extremely different images in media! And I love every single kind. Recently, all I can think and talk about are vampires. I love Count Dracula, I love him, I love Bela Lugosi, I love Frank Langella, I love Gary Oldman. It is just beautiful to see how everyone interpretes vampires differently, all in/through different images and symbolic techniques. Its honestly taking up so much of my mind. I just love vampires so much.
My personal favourite vampire film is Vampire Boys (2011). Best thing to come out of the early 2010s LOL. Its so stupid and derivative but I have watched it a total of 10 times, and each time, it just gets better. Vampire Boys stares camp right in the eye and says "Hey Sexy".
A big shout out to Interview With The Vampire... both the film and the Television Series (Thank you Anne Rice). Never in my LIFE have I seen a character more like me on screen. Fuck you Armand. Lestat 4EVER.
All my vampire books and movies and TV shows make me who I am. I fucking love vampires so much. I love talking about them I love thinking about them I love being one. Why is Lestat De Lioncourt NOT called Jay Jasper Denis?
